Lonely Lingerie

Lonely is a New Zealand-based brand that has successfully positioned itself as the thinking woman’s lingerie label. It’s definitely a body positive brand with a very inclusive social media feed that features many Lonely customers wearing the brand’s lingerie in ‘their own way’. Lonely Lingerie’s designs are not static – new colours and styles are being added each season, so it’s very on trend. You will often find something in a FleshTone hue, including the Thea set, which is a ‘rich mulberry’ (aka creamy bronzey brown) with a subtle shimmer and three overlapping layers of  sheer metallic mesh. It’s an underwire bra –  good news for those who can do nothing with so called ‘bralettes’, with a medium stretch and smooth finish (which sits well under clothing).  The briefs are cute with some nice front detail and are thankfully 100% cotton lined. The full Thea set retails for a rather expensive $112USD.

Also of notable mention from Lonely are the beautiful camis and slips available in the bronze/brown ‘nutmeg’ colour – these are a true knock out in the bedroom for deeper FleshTones.

Review for ambrielle

I purchased five pair of Ambrielle panties from JC Penney. I love that they are seamless and super soft but two of my five pair will not even stay up! They seems stretched out and fell down the first time I wore them! I only purchased last week and love most of them with the exception of these two pair! Not sure if the band was sewn in the wrong fabric nap or what! Call me disappointed!

Review for micles tights

When I say these tights are LIFE! I wore them two years in a row for carnival and if you played Mas, it gets WILD! For my tights to still be in good condition after all of that is amazing! I noticed at the end of playing Mas the second year they had a rip but that\’s alright due to all the dancing they been through. The tights got caught to some guy\’s jewels and they didn’t snag or rip. They matched me perfectly and I will be buying more for this year! 🙂

Ordered tights on May 25, 2018 for recital. Card was charged and have yet to receive tights. Also, no one answers phone or emails. looking to see if card company can have my money returned. I don’t think I can give them a 0.

1 star for not having my item in stock -1 star for not having the website notify me of lack of availability -1 star for it taking a whole week for me to know I wasn’t getting my product but a refund instead.

Review for micles tights

Years ago I used a shade as seen in the picture and remembered getting tremendous compliments of how perfect it matched my skin tone. The fit was great, kept me firm and I loved that also!!! I am now getting back to playing mass and is trying to determine my ideal shade.

Review for Nude Barre

I got both the fishnets and the opaque tights in tapioca cream. I’m 5’2″ with a large body frame and I got a size M/L in the fishnets and L/XL in the opaque tights. They are a bit big, but I do suggest picking a larger size so you can tuck them into your bra band for a smoother look. I really love the fishnets. Today I was scolded by a friend for not dressing warmly enough even though I was wearing the fishnet tights (I assume she thought I was going bare-legged when it was 45 degrees Fahrenheit and windy, nope ; -) The opaque tights are good too, but I do recommend washing them once before wear. They come with a bit of extra orange/yellow dye in them. After the first wash, the color is more brown. The tights don’t “run” even when they get caught on something, just lose threads. Beware of Velcro (aka my backpack) or anything else that may hook onto your tights. If you’re not a dancer, I say buy the fishnets since they match better color-wise.

Review for Shades of Dance Tights - Don't Buy

Taking payments and not shipping product – I ordered a pair of XL Toasted Almond footed tights back on Dec. 14 2017 and still have not received them. I have tried contacting Shades of Dance multiple times through their “contact us” page on their website and have not been contacted by anyone. $18.40 for tights and shipping and over one month later, I’ve received no product. If you look at the posts on their FB page, they are all negitive.

I’ve had the diamond fishnets for about a year now. Granted I only bring them out for special occasions, but they are pretty sturdy and have lasted for ages.

Review for Mahogany Blues

I love my MB leotard! I got some strange looks when I first wore it to my (predominately white) dance school. But I wore it with pride! I want one in shiny Lycra now (the leotard is matte).

Review for Ballet Cafe

I got these from a friend. They are quite thick and have lasted ages without tearing. It would be better if they were low waisted, but they are still great for ballet I wear as convertible tights. The ‘chocolate barre’ color doesn’t exactly match my NW45 skin but they do the job. They have faded a little with regular washing so I would take better care of them if I was to order again.

These rights are nice an comfy. I like the variety of shades. They have just a hint of spandex for stretch-ability and very slight shine to them. Mostly durable. I have not gotten a ladder in any of them but have noticed a few holes/gaps form in the panty region, as I wear these most often. I would recommend them. However communication w/ the company is mostly non-existent, but so far, ordering thru their website, I have yet to NOT receive an order *knock on wood*, unlike some of the complaints on Facebook.

Review for Gipsy Tights

By no means silky or luxurious, but great everyday stockings and can’t argue with the price – literally $2. They are a perfect colour match for me, so I’m a fan!
